At Christina Clinic, we use the new Apeel microdermabrasion system. The skin is pulled up by suction into contact with a diamond dust coated wand and abraded as the instrument is moved over the skin surface.

Five microdermabrasion treatments are performed at 7-10 day intervals. The length of each procedure lasts about 30 minutes. Overall, patients tend to be very pleased with their post-treatment appearance, find their skin feels softer and need to use less makeup.

Patients are encouraged to use a glycolic acid based product and moisturizer to continue exfoliation at home. Depending on a variety of factors, including heredity, sun exposure, and smoking habits, a single touchup may be necessary every two months. Some patients can maintain a good appearance for three months or longer after completing a series of microdermabrasion treatments.
